Tsehaynesh Asmamaw joined the Children’s Heaven program in fifth grade in 2021. With Children’s Heaven's support, she completed her primary and secondary education and went on to graduate from Lideta Manufacturing College with a diploma in Leather Garment Production. Today, Tsehaynesh is continuing her education through night school, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Queens College. Tsehaynesh returned to Children’s Heaven in December 2021 and has served as a Cashier and Program Support staff member for the past five years. Coming back to the organization that supported her throughout her education is especially meaningful to her. She is proud to now serve alongside the team that once supported her and to encourage and support the girls who are following a journey similar to her own. Tsehaynesh is excited to give back to Children’s Heaven and to help her “sisters” pursue their goals and dreams.
