It was in 2005 that Tirsit Yadessa started serving the girls of Children's Heaven by becoming their big sister. After five years of her voluntary work, she joined the organization as a staff member.

During her time with the organization, she has been known for her sacrificial services which are focused on the wellbeing of the girls by working outside her scheduled hours to make sure that their needs are being met. Even though Tirsit left the organization after her thirteen years of excellent service, she continued her volunteer work by also becoming a board member of Children's Heaven in Ethiopia.

Her great contribution to the organization has impacted positively the well-being of the girls as well as the sustainability of the organization. She will be greatly missed by all of the staff members, especially by the girls who not only consider her as their big sister but also as a trusted friend that they could count on during their challenges.

Tirsit, will consider a great opportunity to continue serving the girls by becoming a part of the Children's Heaven board of the USA.
